Raven Nevamore was not born with that name. She begins as Lanore, raised in the Isles and shaped by the Dark Carnival. Her later identity is chosen, not inherited—a name with a literary echo and a deliberate sense of reinvention.
Raven is flirtatious without being careless, confident without needing to dominate every room, and skilled at making illusion do more than deceive. Her abilities combine Illusion Control with Thermal Radiation, giving her a style that can be theatrical, strategic, protective, and dangerous depending on what the moment requires.
The Shadow is ultimately Raven’s story of independence. Leaving an old life does not erase the people, loyalties, and wounds connected to it. Her challenge is not merely to escape a past, but to decide what parts of it still deserve her loyalty—and what she is willing to do when someone she cares about is turned against her.
